In Ecuador and many other developing countries, informal and empirically-run catering businesses where women sell homemade food on the street or have small food stands or trucks are one of the most popular ways for low-income earners to make a living.
The aim of our course is to support owners of this kind of catering business to develop and grow. Each course module has been designed to efficiently combine both gastronomy and business know-how. Every week, the women attending our courses can learn in a hands-on way not only how to cook but also how to manage their businesses better, more efficiently, and more profitably.
Furthermore, this course also educates the participants on important food- and catering-related issues such as hygiene, presentation, recycling, food preservation, and organic products.
The demand for this type of course is huge, and such is the impact!
